During youth or at some spiritual moment in our adult life we may question do angels exist?

Maybe as a child we heard angels mentioned in nativity plays or as adults during difficult times we may often contemplate the possibility that a guardian angel had watched over us

Whatever our intake on the existance our beliefs are what see us through in life. We may know someone whom whole heartedly believes in them yet we are a total sceptic, thats ok! atleast you are here and willing to see through the eyes and beliefs of others that angels exist

Cherubim

Cherubim are the next closet beings to God after the Seraphim. The concept of Cherubim is Assyrian or Akkadian in origin; the Akkadian word karibu means "one who prays" or "one who intercedes". They appear in Assyrian, Chaldean and Babylonian art and writings, which is where the biblical prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel may have encountered them. This influence may have coloured the accounts given of Cherubim in Genesis and other Old Testament books.

The Cherabim hold the energy of the Sun, the Moon and the stars. The mighty Cherubim are not cupid-like beings often portrayed in art, but instead are vast cosmic beings.

Sphere one

This first sphere contains the three highest orders of angels, which are closest to God. Within this sphere are the Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones.

Seraphim The Seraphim are the highest order of angels in the Dionysian hierachy and also in Jewish law. Seraphim means "the inflamer" from the Hebrew root word saraph (burning), and they are the angels of divine fire, love and light. Seraphim have the power to purify us with the lightening flash and the flame - they hold the unveiled light of God and the great illuminators. Next to God they are the most light-filled beings in creation. Seraphim have six wings, surround the throne of God and continually sing the Trisagion, a hymn of praise to God that translates as "Holy, Holy, Holy".

Ruled by: Archangel Seraphiel, sometimes called the "Prince of Peace", and by the Archangel Metatron who presides over Kether (crown) on the Kabalistic Tree of Life. Also listed are Jehoel, Michael and Lucifer before he fell from grace. Read more

Nine ranks of Angelic Beings con't

The 5th-century scholar Dionysius, the Pseudo-Areopagite, had already described these. From Heaven to Earth there are three levels of spheres of angelic influence. The first and closet to God are the Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones; the second includes the Dominations, Virtues and Powers; and in the lowest rank are the Principalities, Archangels and Angels. The Celestial Hiearchy of Dionysius, with its three ranks of three, was inspired by the work of neo-Platonic philospher Plotinus (c.205-270 CE).

No one, it seems, can agree on the ordering of the celestial hierarchies. Authorities from other Christian sources and other religeons list different celestial hierachies and even vary the order in which they are listed. The Pharisees (who were active from 536 BCE to 70 CE), upon whose thought traditional Judaism is based, believed in angels, as did the celebrated Greek philosphers Aristotle and Socrates. Aristotle called them intelligences, while Socrates had his daimon, an attendant spirit who guided him throughout his life.
